PayU India Payment Gateway

Introduction

Easy Digital Downloads PayU India is a gateway plugin that extends Easy Digital Downloads, allowing you to take payments via PayU. PayU cooperates with Visa and Mastercard Credit Cards and Debit cards. This means that you easily can take credit card payments as well as direct payments via any of the associated banks.

When the order goes through, the user is taken to PayU to make a secure payment. No SSL certificate is required on your site. After payment the order is confirmed and the user is taken to the thank you page.

Installing the Plugin

1. The installation of the plugin is just like any other plugin installation for WordPress. Login to your WordPress site and go to Plugins > Add New.
2. At the Install Plugins Page click on Upload from the top navigation and then click on browse.
3. Go to the location on your computer where you saved the downloaded plugin zip file and upload this zipped file. You need to unzip the file first to get the plugin zip file.
4. Now click on Install Now.
5. Wait until WordPress has uploaded the file. If it's done click on Activate Plugin.
6. Now you should see a message 'Plugin activated' at the top of the window.

After installing the extension, a PayU India section will be added to the Easy Digital Downloads Payment Gateways tab.

The Plugin Settings

Merchant ID
Our PayU India merchant ID (required).

SALT
String of characters provided by PayU India (required).

PayU Tab
Choose the tab which will be pre-selected on the payu checkout page.

Use Plugin as PayU Money
Check this box if you wanted to use this extension for PayU Money instead of PayU india.

How to Use

You must have an active merchant account with PayU India in order to make use of this plugin.

Test Transactions

To perform test transactions, enable Test Mode from general settings tab and supply the test account names as needed. You must also request test card numbers from PayU India.

Important

Note that PayU will only take payments in Indian Rupee.
