Download Image Watermark

Introduction

Easy Digital Downloads Image Watermark extension allows you to easy add watermarks to your Easy Digital Downloads images. These watermarks can be an image copyright symbol, company logo or piece of branding text as a transparent PNG image.You can have different watermarks for:

• Full Image
• Large Image
• Medium Image
• Post-thumbnail Image
• Thumbnail Image

Features:

• Automatically add watermarks to download image that you want to upload to a downloads page.
• You can also apply watermarks to an already uploaded download images.
• Easily choose from any 9 positions to place the watermark. You can place it in middle, middle left, middle right, top left, top center, top right, bottom left, bottom center & bottom right.
• Ability to apply same watermark multiple times on a single image.
• Ability to set a watermark on all custom sizes of an image.
• It provides a very friendly and easy to mange admin panel with a clean user-interface.

Minimum Requirements

Below are the minimum requirements to use the plugin.

• Easy Digital Downloads Version 2.2 or greater are fully supported with this plugin.
• PHP version 5.6 or greater
• MySQL 5.6 or greater
• WordPress 4.4 or greater
• GD Library

You should also check WordPress minimum requirements.

Installing the Plugin

1. The installation of the plugin is just like any other plugin installation for WordPress. Login to your WordPress site and go to Plugins > Add New.
2. At the Install Plugins Page click on Upload from the top navigation and then click on browse.
3. Go to the location on your computer where you saved the downloaded plugin zip file and upload this zipped file. You need to unzip the file first to get the plugin zip file.
4. Now click on Install Now.
5. Wait until WordPress has uploaded the file. If it's done click on Activate Plugin.
6. Now you should see a message 'Plugin activated' at the top of the window.

After installing the extension, an Image Watermark section will be added to the Easy Digital Downloads Extensions tab.

The Plugin Settings

Full Watermark Image
Select watermark image. This watermark image is applied to the full image on a Downloads page.

Repeat Full Watermark Image
Select repeat full watermark image to apply repeat watermark on full size image.

Full Watermark Image Alignment
Select Full watermark alignment. You can easily choose from 9 positions to place the watermark: middle, middle left, middle right, top left, top center, top right, bottom left, bottom center or bottom right. Select "No watermark" to not display full watermark image on download images. This watermark alignment is applied to the full image on a Downloads page.

Thumbnail Watermark Image
Select watermark image. This watermark image is applied to the thumbnail image on a Downloads page.

Thumbnail Watermark Image Alignment
Select Thumbnail watermark alignment. You can easily choose from 9 positions to place the watermark: middle, middle left, middle right, top left, top center, top right, bottom left, bottom center or bottom right. Select "No watermark" to not display thumbnail watermark image on download images. This watermark alignment is applied to the thumbnail image on a Downloads page.

Medium Watermark Image
Select watermark image. This watermark image is applied to the medium image on a Downloads page.

Medium Watermark Image Alignment
Select Medium watermark alignment. You can easily choose from 9 positions to place the watermark: middle, middle left, middle right, top left, top center, top right, bottom left, bottom center or bottom right. Select "No watermark" to not display medium watermark image on download images. This watermark alignment is applied to the medium image on a Downloads page.

Medium_large Watermark Image
Select watermark image. This watermark image is applied to the medium large image on a Downloads page.

Medium_large Watermark Image Alignment
Select Medium large watermark alignment. You can easily choose from 9 positions to place the watermark: middle, middle left, middle right, top left, top center, top right, bottom left, bottom center or bottom right. Select "No watermark" to not display medium large watermark image on download images. This watermark alignment is applied to the medium large image on a Downloads page.

Large Watermark Image
Select watermark image. This watermark image is applied to the large image on a Downloads page.

Large Watermark Image Alignment
Select Large watermark alignment. You can easily choose from 9 positions to place the watermark: middle, middle left, middle right, top left, top center, top right, bottom left, bottom center or bottom right. Select "No watermark" to not display large watermark image on download images. This watermark alignment is applied to the large image on a Downloads page.

The User Settings

Few new settings are added to the user edit page ( Users -> All Users -> Edit ) as mentioned in the image below :

Disable Image Watermark
Check this box to disable image watermark for images uploaded by this user.

Usage Instructions

1. Create a transparent PNG watermark image (eg: something that says "Copyright Yourname" with your logo).
2. Go to the "Downloads" > "Settings" > "Extensions" tab in WordPress.
3. Upload the watermark image using the Choose Image button
4. Select where you would like the watermark image to appear.
5. Create a New Download and upload an image. The watermark should appear on the image.

(If the watermarks do not appear, please try regenerating the thumbnails as below)

Does Image Watermark support the Frontend Submissions extension?
Yes, Image Watermark and FES are fully integrated.
